The protection of personal data is important to us. Therefore we conduct our web activities in accordance with data protection and data security laws. Below you learn which data we collect and what we do with it.
We use your personal data generally to answer your questions, process your request, search for a project in your area of expertise, or to grant you access to specialized information or offers. GECO needs some personal data about you in order to place you on suitable projects, for example your name, address, email address, telephone number, information about your technical focal points and skills, your qualifications etc.
GECO stores, processes and forwards the data you provide to current and potential customers for the reasons mentioned above. The data you provide GECO with can also be used in emails, newsletters and surveys.
The information collected on this website will be forwarded to the responsible unit within our organization. We assure you that your personal data is not available to third parties, unless we are legally obliged to, or you have given us your prior consent.
Provided that we use contractors for the handling and management of work processes, the contractual conditions will be regulated according to the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act.
It is in your interest to keep your personal data current and we would be pleased if you took part in this process.
You are always entitled to retract permission to save your data, to look at your data and/or to request that your data be deleted.
Naturally, we respect it, if you do not want to give us your personal information to assist in our client relations – especially for direct marketing or market research. We will not sell your personal data to third parties nor market it elsewhere.
Automatically collected, non-personal data and "cookies"
When you access our websites, data is occasionally collected automatically (not through registration). The data is not personal (e.g. the internet browser and operating system you used, the domain name of the website you came from, the number of visits, the average length of visits and the pages you accessed). GECO uses this information to research the attractiveness of our website and to improve its content.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer, to analyze the use of the website. If you visit one of our websites, we may store some data in the form of a "cookie" on your computer that identify it on your next visit automatically. "Cookies" allow us, for example, to adapt a website to your interests or to save your password so you do not have to enter it each time.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this site are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the case of activation of the IP anonymization on this website, your IP address from Google will be condensed within Member States of the European Union or other parties in the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the USA where it is then shortened. On behalf of the site owner, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and to provide other services of the website and internet related services with respect to the website owner. Your IP-Address, which is provided by your browser to Google Analytics, will not be merged with other data from Google.
If you do not want us to recognize your computer, please set your internet browser so that it erases cookies from your hard drive, blocks cookies or warns you before it saves a cookie. However, in this case you may not be able to sue all features of this site fully anymore.
You can additionally block the service by installing a browser add-on (http://tools.google.com) if you don't agree with the data collection. This blocks Google's collection and processing of your website usage data (including your IP address).
Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the "_anonymizeIp()" and therefore IP addresses will be processed only shortened to exclude direct reference to people.
Withdrawal or questions about data privacy
If you have given us personal data, you can delete it at any time. Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected by withdrawal or deletion.
Personal data, that has been submitted via our websites, are only stored until the purpose, for which it was provided, is fulfilled. As far as commercial- and tax retention periods are to be taken into account, the storage duration of certain data can be up to 10 years.
If you no longer agree with the storage of your personal data, or if they are no longer accurate, we will arrange to delete or correct your data according to your instructions (where this is permitted by the applicable law). If you wish, you can receive information about all the personal data we hold about you at no additional charge.
Your withdrawal or questions about data privacy in our organization, as well as possible requests for additional information, can be emailed directly to: firstname.lastname@example.org
